I contacted Karin when my son was 3 weeks old. I was very overwhelmed and exhausted and needed help at night. As a first time mom, I was also quite nervous. This past March I met Karin for the first time. :) She was our baby nurse for our first baby and was absolutely amazing! You could tell right away she was a very kind, caring, sweet woman! Once we arrived home with our baby, Karin was there to help me through all the questions I had. She is full of knowledge and will do anything to help you out even if it’s day or night she will be there. I am so blessed to have met her and to have her help. In addition to caring for my son for the first three weeks, Karin is an extremely talented photographer and took adorable photos of our baby. Karin worked for our family for 2 months from late October through late December 2011. Our daughter was five weeks old when she began caring for her at night. Now at three months old, she sleeps for six hour stretches at night and is a very content, well-rested baby - we believe Karin helped us achieve this!  

When we met Karin, we were exhausted and dealing with a very stressful time in our lives, and she made things so much better for us. She is very sweet, professional, punctual and has amazing energy. We had the pleasure of having Karin as our night nanny for our second child for a few months in the summer of 2009. Initially, I had hired Karin to work for a week while my husband was out of town for work. However, one week turned into two and then a month turned into two and so on. She worked from 9 pm to 7 am during the work week. Those nights that Karin was working was a real treat for us! We were able to stay up and watch TV/movies and get a full night's rest. A luxury for someone with a newborn. We knew that our daughter was in good hands with Karin so we never had to worry.

Karin has a very pleasant and calming personality. She is extremely reliable and punctual. She does not impose her way on how to do things. She is happy to carry out your instructions and was able to provide some very helpful tips as well. She is a natural with babies and kids. Having Karin to help during those first few months was one of the best decisions we made.

I am pleased to write a recommendation for Karin, who worked for us almost full time for a few months in the summer of 2008, as well as a few other times since then for occasional babysitting. We originally tried to hire Karin as our full time nanny, but she wanted to finish school and her school hours were not compatible with the hours we needed. Since we liked her so much, and I was due with our second child when we met, we asked if she would be willing to work for us at night after the baby was born for a few weeks. Karin was so great, we kept her for even longer than we originally contemplated. She worked approximately 10pm to 6am each night, seven days a week.

Karin has amazing energy, so she was well suited to a night job. She has a lot of experience with all ages of kids, but especially newborns. She really tries to follow the mom’s instructions, combined with her own good judgment, in caring for a baby. She has a lot of common sense, an important character trait when dealing with newborns (and moms). We were very happy with the care Karin gave to our baby, and our older daughter was really happy every time Karin babysat for her as well.
